CSci 189 - Unix System Administration

System administration for the stand-alone system or small networks. Installation of two or more UNIX variants (Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris) on Intel and Sparc platforms. Configuration of mail, name services and other network utilities. Backup and recovery, security and ethics. May be taken for graduate credit. Prerequisite: CSci 180.
