Integrated Medical and Law Programs

Computer Science and Medicine

Students interested in careers that combine computer science and medicine can avail of the following options:
  • Do a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and prepare for entry into any medical school.
  • For this option, follow the Medical Preparation track, a program of study that allows students to get the best out of computer science while preparing for med school.
  • Combine computer science and medicine at GW. This program, called IEMP (Integrated Engineering and Medicine Program), is highly-selective. Forms are available from the Admissions Office upon request.
  • Get a Computer Science degree but concentrate on medical or bio-related research projects with faculty.
See the Medical Prep. Curriculum.

Computer Science and Law

The Integrated Engineering and Law Program (IELP) is a four-year undergraduate engineering program with the opportunity to pursue a law degree at the National Law Center at George Washington University. Students admitted to the highly competitive program engage in regular seminars during the semester, and may participate in an internship at the United States Patent Office in the summer between junior and senior year. Students who apply to the GW National Law will be admitted if they have maintained a 3.25 GPA and have the required LSAT score.
